As many of you are aware, I recently sold "Stitches", my needlepoint shop, so that I may pursue other ventures, one of which is my first love, that of teaching the art of needlepoint.

I will continue to teach at "Stitches by the Bay", the shop's new incarnation, as well as offer private lessons and creative consultations through the shop.

My instructional needlepoint books, another of my fond pursuits, will continue to be available to retail customers through "Stitches by the Bay" and other fine needlepoint stores.

In the world of needlepoint, it is so nice when a shop changes hands rather than closing its doors for good. It was my sincere pleasure to see my beloved store transferred into the capable hands of Colleen and Alex Greenlee, the new owners of "Stitches by the Bay". The Monterey area is fortunate that they will be there to serve the needs of its devoted stitchers.

I wish them every success, and hope you will continue to offer them your patronage, whether you are a Monterey local or one of our occasional visitors.
